A new record has been set in electricity generation at the
Rampal coal fired thermal power plant in Bagerhat.
The plant generated a maximum of 1,321 megawatts of
electricity simultaneously from its two units. This is the highest generation
recorded so far. The electricity generated is being supplied directly to the
national grid.
At around 4:30 pm on Saturday (October 3), the plant’s
