Despite a rise in the indices, trading volume and share
prices of most companies declined on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). On
Thursday, the last trading day of the week, the market ended with the indices
rising while total trading volume declined and share prices of a large number
of companies fell.
At the end of the day, the DSE’s benchmark index DSEX rose
