Today marks the death anniversary of renowned Bangladeshi filmmaker Tareque Masud. On this day in 2011, he died in a tragic road accident in Ghior, Manikganj, while returning after selecting a shooting location for his upcoming film The Paper Flower. Prominent journalist and cinematographer Mishuk Munier and three others also died in the same accident. He was born on December 6, 1956, in Nurpur village of Bhanga upazila in Faridpur.
