Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained 23 people from a
mosque in Tejgaon in the capital on suspicion of militancy. They were arrested
at around 4:15 pm Friday.
Ibn Mizan, deputy commissioner (DC) of the DMP’s Tejgaon
division, told Agamir Somoy that they were detained after police conducted a
raid based on intelligence that a secret meeting was taking place at the
mosque.
