Voting has ended in the election for the country’s 23rd
president. Voting began at 2:10 pm Thursday and continued until 5 pm. Most
members of Parliament exercised their voting rights within the first two hours
of voting.
However, BNP’s Mirza Abbas, independent lawmaker Rumeen
Farhana, expelled Jamaat lawmaker Gazi Nazrul Islam and Islami Andolan
Bangladesh lawmaker Maulana Mahmudul Hossain Oliyullah were not seen casting
their votes.
