Prime
Minister Tarique Rahman called upon everyone to build a greener and more
environment-friendly country, requesting children to plant at least one tree
every year.
He made these
remarks on Wednesday while inaugurating a nationwide tree-planting program at
government primary schools at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center
in Dhaka.
Prior to the Primary
Education Medal-2026 presentation ceremony, he launched the program by planting
