Department recovered 24 monitor lizards and detained a woman in Khagrachari on Wednesday

Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the matter. The detained woman was identified as Premrachho
Marma, 47.
Mosharraf said
the raid was conducted based on secret information. During the search of five
sacks, officials recovered 24 monitor lizards, with 14 of them found dead. The 10
monitor lizards were released into the Alutila forests, while the dead ones
were buried underground.
