Russia’s parliamentary election began on Friday. Russians
will vote through Sunday to elect members of the State Duma, the lower house of
parliament. It is the first parliamentary election held in Russia since the war
with Ukraine began in 2022.
This year’s election is taking place at a time when Russia’s
