Disciplinary action has been taken against two tax officials
of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) after allegations of misconduct, revenue
loss and taking bribes were proven. Of them, Deputy Tax Commissioner Lincoln
Roy has been permanently dismissed from his job. Assistant Tax Commissioner
Jannatul Ferdous Mitu has been denied promotion for eight years.
