A court in Tangail on Tuesday sentenced two men to life
imprisonment for their roles in a gang rape case and handed a third defendant a
15-year prison term.
The convicts sentenced to life are Shafiqul Islam Shafi of
Kamaria village in Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh and Shamchul Haque Shamchu
of the same area. The third convict, Abdur Rahim of Kotar Bari village in
Jamalpur Sadar upazila, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
