A single set of examination results appears to have suddenly
changed a familiar picture that had remained largely unchanged for nearly two
decades. Pass rates that once hovered around 80 to 90 percent and GPA 5 grades
that stood as the brightest symbol of academic success have both suffered a
sharp decline this year.
