A 40-year-old man was killed after the wall of an earthen
house collapsed on him during heavy rainfall in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s
Bazar on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim, identified as Md. Manik, was trapped
under the collapsed wall at around 3:00 pm in the Jambagan area of Haldiapalang
Union. He was rescued by locals and taken to Ukhiya Upazila Health
Complex, where doctors pronounced him dead at about 5:00 pm.
