A fire that broke out on the third floor of Ashik Tower in
the Khwaja Market area of Chawkbazar was brought under control after nearly two
hours of firefighting efforts on Saturday.
The information was confirmed to Agamir Somoy by Fire
Service control room Duty Officer Khaleda Yasmin.
She said the blaze was fully contained at 3:14 pm,
with a total of six units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence
responding to the incident.
