Bangladeshi swimmer Samiul Islam Rafi made an impressive
start at the Commonwealth Games by setting a new personal best.
On Monday, July 28, Rafi competed in the men’s 50 meter
butterfly event at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Scotland. He
clocked 25.23 seconds, breaking his previous personal best of 26.01 seconds to
set a new personal record.
Competing in Heat 4, the Bangladeshi swimmer finished
