Irene Khan Named Bangladesh’s UN Ambassador
International human rights and law expert Irene Khan is set to be appointed as Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the United Nations in New York. Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam confirmed the matter in a Demi-Official (DO). Prime Minister Tarique Rahman approved her appointment.
