Dhaka Court Hands Life Term to Husband in Dowry Murder
A Dhaka court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife after failing to receive a dowry. Public Prosecutor Md Ershad Alam George confirmed the information. Judge Munshi Md Moshiar Rahman of Dhaka Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal-4 delivered the verdict on Thursday. The man is named Md Jahangir Alam. The court imposed a fine of Tk 50,000.
