A court sentenced AKM Mominul Haque Sayeed, former councilor of ward number 9 of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Jubo League leader, to seven years in prison in a corruption case. Dhaka Special Judge Court-2 Judge Hamidul Islam announced the verdict on Thursday. However, as the accused is fugitive, an arrest warrant along with the sentence has been issued against him.
