Barendra Express breakdown suspends train operations in Joypurhat

Barendra Express broke down and came to a halt midway after its coil spring body snapped in the Puranapul area of Joypurhat on Saturday.
Train conductor Sanoar Hossain confirmed the matter. As a result, all train operations on the Parbatipur-Santahar route have been suspended.
Following the breakdown, several trains became stranded at different stations, causing severe distress to passengers.
Meanwhile, Joypurhat Station Master Rafique Chowdhury said they have requested relief trains from both the Parbatipur and Santahar stations. He added that a relief train has already departed for the site. However, he could not specify exactly when it would reach the scene of the incident.
