Major Police Reshuffle: 39 Officers Transferred

The government has carried out a major reshuffle in the Bangladesh Police, transferring 39 officers, including the appointment of new superintendents of police (SPs) in 12 districts across the country.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications in this regard on Tuesday.
According to the notifications, Panchagarh SP Rabiul Islam has been transferred to the Naval Police. Mymensingh Muktagachha APBn-2 SP Mizanur Rahman has been posted to Panchagarh. Bandarban SP Abdur Rahman has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP). SB (Dhaka) SP Wahabul Islam Khandaker has been posted to Bandarban. Joypurhat SP Mina Mahmud has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Dhaka Range SP Shahnoz Begum has been posted to Joypurhat. Pabna SP Anwar Jahid has been transferred to the Special Branch (SB), while SB (Dhaka) SP Shufi Ullah has been made Pabna SP. Nilphamari SP Sheikh Jahidul Islam has been posted as DMP Deputy Commissioner, and Industrial Police SP Farhad Hossain Khan has been transferred to Nilphamari. Narail SP Mohammad Al Mamun Shikder has been transferred to the Tourist Police.
In addition, DMP Deputy Commissioner Mallik Ahsan Uddin Sami has been posted to Narail. Satkhira SP Arefin Jewel has been transferred as APBn SP. Rajshahi Sardah SP Abu Saleh Md. Ashraful Alam has been posted to Satkhira. Chandpur SP Rabiul Hasan has been appointed as DMP Deputy Commissioner, while Jhalokathi SP Mizanur Rahman has been made Chandpur SP. CID Special SP Protyush Kumar Majumder has been posted as Jhalokathi SP. Moulvibazar SP Mohammad Billal Hossain has been transferred as Naval Police SP. RMP Deputy Commissioner Riazul Islam has been posted as Moulvibazar SP. Chattogram SP Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan has been transferred as APBn SP. DMP Deputy Commissioner Masud Alam has been posted as Chattogram SP. Feni SP Shafiqul Islam has been made AIG at Police Headquarters, while CMP Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan has been transferred as Feni SP.
