Rain, thunderstorms to hit Dhaka, 10 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said thunderstorms and rain are likely to occur in Dhaka and 10 regions across the country by afternoon.
According to the weather forecast for the country’s internal river ports valid from 5 am to 1 pm on Friday, temporary gusty winds or thunderstorms at 45-60 kilometers per hour from the south or southeast may sweep over the regions of Rajshahi, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
The weather forecast for the six hours starting from 7 am added that the city’s sky may remain partially cloudy to temporarily cloudy. Rain or thunderstorms may occur, while winds may blow from the southeast or east at 10-15 kilometers per hour, potentially increasing to 30 kilometers per hour in gusts.
The forecast also mentioned that the daytime temperature in Dhaka might decrease slightly. At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 28 degrees Celsius, with 88 percent humidity. The minimum temperature is 27.4 degrees Celsius.
