Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that a difficult and crucial time lies ahead. He warned that if this period is treated lightly, it will cause serious harm to the country and future generations.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman on Sunday afternoon.
The event was held at the Krishibid Institution in Dhaka.
According to the Prime Minister, “In 2024, we carried out a successful movement. In the February 12, 2026 election, we, together with the people, have also successfully completed a successful election. Let us now work to implement the election manifesto given to the people.”
He said the BNP has assumed responsibility for governing the country in a devastated state, adding that public expectations from the party are high and must be fulfilled. “We must succeed in the eyes of the people,” he said.
At the time, he also urged party activists to understand the ideals of Ziaur Rahman.
