Five more children die with measles symptoms

Five more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, from 8 pm Wednesday to 8 am Thursday. With this, the total number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms nationwide has reached 955.

The Directorate General of Health Services released the information in its regular report on the measles situation on Thursday.

According to the report, three people died with measles symptoms in Dhaka Division over the past day. During the same period, two more children died with measles symptoms in Sylhet Division.

During this period, 1,031 new cases of measles and measles symptoms were reported. Among them, measles was detected in 75 people while 956 people showed symptoms of measles.

According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services, from March 15 through Thursday, a total of 955 people have died across the country. Of them, 856 died with measles symptoms and 99 died after being infected with measles.
