Eight more children die with measles symptoms

Eight more children have died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms has reached 1,044 this year.
During this period, 1,320 new cases of measles symptoms were reported.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in its regular measles report on Wednesday (September 16).
In the 24 hours from 8:00 am Tuesday to 8:00 am Wednesday, no child confirmed to have measles died. However, eight children died with measles symptoms.
Since March 15, a total of 944 children have died with measles symptoms across the country. Another 100 children have died after being infected with measles. This means a total of 1,044 children have died from measles and measles symptoms during this period.
In the past 24 hours, 81 new measles cases were reported. Another 1,239 children developed measles symptoms. During this period, 1,141 children were admitted to hospitals. After receiving treatment, 1,079 children were discharged from hospitals.
