Seven Deaths Reported as 1,287 Show Measles Symptoms

Seven more children have died with symptoms of measles in Bangladesh over the past 24 hours, while 1,287 children have shown measles or measles-like symptoms during the same period.
The information was reported in a measles-related update issued by the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday afternoon. The data covers the period from 8 am Saturday to 8 am Sunday.
The statement said no child died of confirmed measles infection in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 529 children have died with measles-like symptoms, while another 91 children have died after being confirmed with measles. In total, 620 children have died from measles and measles-related complications during this period.
During the same 24-hour period, 66 children were confirmed to have measles, while 1,221 patients showed measles-related symptoms. A total of 1,129 children were admitted to hospitals, and 1,120 children were discharged.
