The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has issued an urgent directive to restore discipline in the transfer process for government primary school teachers. It said that transfer applications must be processed through committees at the designated levels. Applications submitted directly to the National Committee by bypassing the proper authorities will not be accepted.

According to a directive issued by the DPE on Monday, committees have been formed at four levels, upazila, district, divisional, and national, to review transfer related activities involving government primary school teachers. However, it has been observed that many applications that should be resolved by committees at the lower levels are being submitted directly to the National Committee. In some cases, member secretaries of the upazila, district, and divisional committees are not accepting applications, forcing teachers to submit them to the National Committee. In addition, many teachers are applying directly to the National Committee without routing their applications through the appropriate authorities, disrupting administrative discipline.

In this situation, the directive instructs the upazila, district, and divisional committees to accept applications that fall within their respective jurisdictions and complete the necessary procedures. It also states that applications under the jurisdiction of the National Committee must be forwarded through the appropriate authorities. Otherwise, no action will be taken on those applications.

Describing the matter as highly urgent, the Directorate of Primary Education has instructed all concerned officials and committees to take the necessary steps to implement the directive.
