Russian massive attack kills 14 in Kyiv

Russia has carried out massive attacks on Ukraine using ballistic missiles and drones, killing at least 14 people and injuring 22 others. This is one of the deadliest attacks on Kyiv this year.
The strikes began after midnight on Wednesday, with ballistic missiles hitting Kyiv and its surrounding areas one after another. Air raid warnings were in effect for over an hour in the region. Residential buildings and warehouses were damaged in the attacks.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's military administration, reported that nine people were killed in the Boryspil district, four in the Bucha district, and one in the Fastiv district.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said there are fears that people may be trapped under the rubble following the strikes in the city center. Among the injured, four are in critical condition.
Kyiv's military administration stated, "The enemy is once again deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure."
Ukraine has recently asked its allies for more US-made Patriot missile defense systems to counter Russia's ballistic missile attacks.
However, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that it struck supply centers linked to the storage and delivery of weapons and military equipment, as well as drone production and distribution centers, in Kyiv and surrounding areas. The ministry also said it attacked three cargo ships carrying weapons and military equipment near the Black Sea port of Odesa.
Russia has intensified its attacks on Kyiv in recent weeks. In response, Ukraine has also stepped up strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure, particularly power plants and warehouses.
On Tuesday, a Ukrainian attack on a warehouse in the Moscow region killed five people and injured 10.
The previous day, a drone struck a busy beach in Russia's southern Krasnodar region, killing seven and injuring 58.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has expressed outrage over a video released showing a drone chasing a person in Kherson. Ukraine condemned the incident as a "deliberate hunt" targeting civilians, calling it a "safari."
Both Russia and Ukraine have denied accusations of deliberately targeting civilians.
