US Backs Down, Iran Can Export Oil

The US Treasury Department has issued a general license for Iran. Under this license, Iran will be permitted to produce, supply, and sell crude oil, petrochemicals, and petroleum products until August 21.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated in a post, "In line with the ongoing productive talks in Switzerland, Iran has committed to free and open transit in the Strait of Hormuz and to permit International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors into their country"
