Shipwreck off Odisha coast with 24 sailors, including a Bangladeshi

A cargo ship has sunk approximately 240 nautical miles off the coast of Odisha, India. The Panama-flagged vessel sank on Saturday.
There were 24 sailors on board. Among them, 20 are Chinese nationals, 3 are from Myanmar, and 1 is a Bangladeshi citizen.
Upon receiving the news of the sinking, the Indian Coast Guard and Navy launched a joint rescue operation. The Coast Guard has reported that two people have been rescued from a life raft so far.
The ship is named MV Ocean-Winner. It had set sail from Paradip port in Odisha on the night of August 20, heading for Singapore. The ship was carrying 1,700 tons of iron ore.
Contact with the ship was lost at 11:48 AM on Saturday. The operating company, Victory Star Group Co. Ltd, has confirmed the incident and has also requested assistance for the rescue operation.
The Coast Guard has dispatched two ships, 'Bard' and 'Anmol', for the rescue. Another ship, 'Bijit', has also been sent for additional support.
Other ships in the area have been alerted and asked to assist in the rescue efforts.
