Iran has launched a missile attack on a petrochemical plant in the Israeli city of Haifa in response to Israeli strikes.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran claimed this in a statement today, Monday afternoon.
The IRGC stated that it carried out a missile attack on a similar facility in Haifa as revenge for Israeli attacks.
Earlier, Israel had attacked a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, a city in southwestern Iran.
The IRGC warned that further attacks on civilian and energy-related targets in the region would impact the global economy, and the responsibility for that would have to be borne by the United States.
Meanwhile, the news agency Reuters has reported that the price of fuel oil in the global market has risen by more than four dollars per barrel.
