The United Arab Emirates has announced the date for Eid-ul-Azha, one of the most important religious festivals for Muslims. UAE will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on May 27.
The announcement came on Sunday morning after the moon of Hijri year 1447 was sighted during daytime observations from the Khatam Astronomical Observatory in Abu Dhabi.
At the time of observation, the moon was around nine hours old. Based on the sighting, the country will observe the holy Eid-ul-Azha on Wednesday, May 27.
