Iran will not sign any US deal on Sunday

Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghai - Collected

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif claimed in a post on X that a peace agreement between Iran and the United States will be signed within the next 24 hours. However, Tehran has made it clear that it will not sign any deal with the United States on Sunday.

The semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim News Agency reported this. The country's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, said on Saturday that despite indications from the key mediator Pakistan, a deal between Washington and Tehran will not be signed tomorrow (Sunday).

Baghaei added that there is no risk that such an agreement will not be signed in the future. However, due to the instability of the other party (the United States), we must be cautious about any statements regarding this process.

The Iranian spokesperson further stated, "This is not a final agreement between Iran and the United States, but rather a memorandum that will primarily identify the major points of disagreement and ensure an end to this war."     (Source: CNN)
