US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports of a critical ammunition shortage in the country. He has claimed that the United States has sufficient stockpiles of weapons and ammunition. At the same time, he has also warned of strict action against those who leak such information.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said, "The United States has vast amounts of ammunition, especially of certain types. According to need, even greater amounts of ammunition are being produced and brought into the country. Defense companies are building the highest number of factories and production centers in our nation's history."

He further stated, "Those who are leaking this treasonous information are being tracked down. Efforts will be made to ensure they receive long-term imprisonment."

Reports published in several US media outlets claimed that due to dwindling interceptor missile stockpiles, the Trump administration had decided to refrain from additional strikes on Iran. Trump made these comments shortly thereafter.

A report in The Washington Post stated that Trump discussed this issue with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a cabinet meeting held at Camp David in Maryland last week. The report claimed that the ammunition shortage had limited military options against Iran.

However, the White House and the Pentagon have denied that report.
