Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi
The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to take revenge against the United States and Israel for the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to Al Jazeera, he said the killing ‘will never be erased from the memory of history.’
Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi called for ‘the establishment of full justice and an appropriate response against the criminals, especially the child-killing American forces.’
In a statement published by the Sepah News Agency, Vahidi said, “America’s criminal leaders and all enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the resistance front should know that by cowardly assassinating this divine leader, they will never be able to bring the flag of resistance to the ground.”
He added, “Avenging the blood of the martyrs and ensuring the punishment of the criminals will remain a final, just and never-forgotten demand.”
