Pakistan's PM Shehbaz meets Iranian interior minister in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad on Tuesday, in a bid to deepen bilateral ties and exchange views on pressing regional issues.

The Iranian minister, leading a high-level delegation, was received by the Prime Minister, with senior officials from both sides in attendance—a reflection of the importance both nations place on their long-standing relationship.

Talks centered on enhancing border cooperation, addressing shared concerns, and taking stock of the evolving security environment in the region. Border management, cross-border coordination, and institutional collaboration were high on the agenda, according to official sources.
