The
government has published the official gazette of pay scale, which will raise
basic pay by 30 percent and by another 35 percent in January 2027 as part of a
four-phase rollout over two years.
Ministry of
Finance published the gazette of Public Service (Amendment) Bill, 2026 on Tuesday.
To increase the salaries of nearly 24 lakh government employees, the ninth pay
scale has been declared after 11 years, with salaries rising up to a maximum of
142 percent.
