Bank (BB) Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman has set a loan target of Tk 60,000 crore for
agricultural and rural loans for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
He made these
remarks in a press conference held at the central bank’s headquarters on Monday.
Data from BB indicate
that the target aims to boost productivity in the agricultural sector, control
inflation, and alleviate poverty.
