A powerful
6.0-magnitude earthquake struck Mexico’s western coast. However, authorities
have not immediately reported any damage or casualties. The tremor hit amid a
recent surge in seismic activity across the globe.

Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake struck the Gulf of California at
1:45 pm local time on Tuesday. The epicenter was located about 75 kilometers
(47 miles) south-southwest of El Progreso, Mexico, at a depth of 10 kilometers
