Chamber Court stayed the order issued by the High Court directing Grameen
Kalyan, an organization owned by Muhammad Yunus, former chief adviser of the interim
government, to immediately pay Tk 666 crore in income tax.
As a result,
until the disposal of the appeal, the organization does not have to pay this
money. However, the High Court verdict regarding the validity of the income tax
claim has not been stayed.
