The
government has sent 49 police inspectors (unarmed) into mandatory retirement.
Ministry of
Home Affairs confirmed the matter in a notification on Thursday which was
signed by Senior Secretary Manjur Morshed Chowdhury.
The
notification said since these 49 police officers have completed 25 years of
service, they have been retired from the service under the Government Service
Act, 2018.
It added that
they will receive benefits as per the rules.
