Forest Department fell into a dilemma regarding where and how to release 137
snakes rescued from various locations. Among them, the majority were venomous
cobras.
According to the
Forest Department, among the rescued snakes, there were 70 Padma cobras, 60
Khoiya cobras, 5 rat snakes (Darash), 1 mother rat snake, and 1 mother Khoiya
cobra. There were five snake eggs. In total, 137 snakes and eggs were rescued,
the majority of which are baby snakes.
