Police have uncovered the alleged embezzlement of Tk
10,557,500 from 48 customers of Dutch Bangla Bank at an agent banking outlet in
Mirikpur, Noakhali by showing a ‘server error’ and issuing fake deposit slips.
The investigation was conducted by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
The outlet owner Md. Nasir Uddin alias Khokon was arrested
in connection with the case. He later gave a confessional statement before the
court under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
