Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Dhaka for New York in the
United States on Monday to attend the 81st session of the United Nations
General Assembly. He departed Dhaka at 5:50 am on a scheduled Turkish Airlines
flight. A 35 member Bangladesh delegation including four ministers is
accompanying Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the visit. This is the first
participation of the current government in the UN General Assembly.
