Secretary General and Prime Minister’s Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the IGP Ali
Hossain Fakir’s statement regarding “crossfire” will harm the country and he gave
such a statement to get cheap applause and credit.
He added that
there is no need to bring back extrajudicial methods like crossfire to curb
crime. The IGP’s statement in this regard will embarrass the government instead
of bringing it relief.
