Bayern Munich drew 3-3 with Viking FK in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany expressed his anger over Michael Olise’s red card during the match.
Bayern unexpectedly fell 2-0 behind early in the match. The German club fought back in the second half to take a 3-2 lead.
During this period, Olise lost possession and committed a foul. The French winger received a yellow card for the offense. He then picked up the ball and threw it at the Viking captain’s face from close range. As a result, he received a second yellow card and had to leave the field.
Bayern suffered another setback late in the match. Herman Haugen scored to bring Viking level at 3-3.
After the match, Kompany expressed his displeasure with Olise’s behavior, saying, “What he did was incredibly stupid. But he knows that himself. We cannot accept any of our players getting a red card like this. What he did was completely unnecessary.”
