Aliss Al Islam earns first ODI call up

Bangladesh will play a tri nation ODI series in the United Arab Emirates after a long break. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad for the series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe on Saturday. Litton Das will lead Bangladesh with Towhid Hridoy named vice captain.
As expected, the squad features the regular ODI players. Mystery spinner Aliss Al Islam has earned his first call up to the ODI team. He has already made his T20I debut. Nahid Rana has been left out of the squad due to injury.
Zimbabwe have also announced their squad. Regular captain Richard Ngarava has been ruled out as he has not recovered from a back injury. Sikandar Raza will lead Zimbabwe. Graeme Cremer, who played in the ODI series against Australia last month, has not been included this time.
Wicketkeeper batter Tafadzwa Sigga and leg spinner Vincent Masekesa have earned places in the squad. Both could make their international ODI debuts. The tri nation series will begin in Abu Dhabi on October 17 with the Bangladesh Zimbabwe match.
