Shakib Al Hasan Demands Swift Justice for Ramisa’s Killers

Bangladesh cricket star Shakib Al Hasan has called for swift justice over the rape and murder of eight-year-old Ramisa in Pallabi, Dhaka, expressing his demand in a Facebook post. Bangladesh Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and veteran cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim also urged exemplary punishment for those responsible.
On his verified Facebook page, Shakib shared a sketched image of Ramisa and wrote, “A child’s cry is not just a family’s grief; it is an echo of society’s failure. Those who destroy innocent childhood through rape and murder are enemies of humanity. Delayed justice only increases the courage of injustice. We demand the fastest and most exemplary punishment for Ramisa.”
Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto also called for exemplary punishment, saying, “We want a society where every child can grow up safely and smile, where they grow up with dreams, not fear. May Allah grant her Jannatul Ferdous, and may the perpetrators receive punishment that sets an example for society.”
Mushfiqur Rahim, the first Bangladeshi cricketer to play 100 Test matches, also demanded justice for the brutal killing in a Facebook post. Sharing a graphic image of Ramisa on his verified page, he wrote, “I was stunned after hearing the news this morning. Little Ramisa deserved safety, love, and protection, not such horrific cruelty. I demand swift and exemplary justice for this innocent child. No family should have to endure such suffering. Crimes against children should receive the highest punishment.”
