At this moment, a deeply emotional moment in Paz’s life has emerged involving the family of football superstar Lionel Messi.
A photo recently circulated on social media shows Lionel Messi’s youngest son, Ciro Messi, sitting beside his father while wearing a club jersey. The jersey belongs to none other than Paz’s club, Como. The photo spread around the world after Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, posted it on her Instagram account.
Asked about the photo following the historic victory over Manchester United, Paz could not hide his emotions. Speaking excitedly, he said, “It is a tremendous honor for me and the entire club that the son of the greatest footballer of all time is wearing our club’s jersey. This small incident proves that we are moving in the right direction at the club.”
Another important connection lies behind Como’s remarkable success. The team’s Spanish head coach, Cesc Fabregas, is a longtime and very close friend of Lionel Messi. Their friendship dates back to their time at Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy and their subsequent experience playing together in the first team. The depth of their relationship was also evident recently when Fabregas received the Princess of Asturias Award for Sports in Spain.
