Month-long Islamic book fair to begin at Baitul Mukarram on Friday

To mark the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) 1448 Hijri, a month-long Islamic book fair will begin on the premises of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. The fair will be inaugurated on Friday (September 11) at 10:00 AM. The publication division of the Islamic Foundation is organizing the event.
A total of 206 institutions will participate in this year's book fair, which will be held on the eastern and southern plazas of Baitul Mukarram. Alongside various publishing houses from across the country, organizations involved in publishing and marketing Islamic books will also take part.
The fair will offer readers books on the Quran, Hadith, and Seerah (the life of the Prophet), as well as Islamic philosophy, history, research, religious literature, and a wide range of books suitable for children and teenagers. Various publishing houses will display and sell their new and notable publications.
Organizers believe that the fair will hold special appeal for readers interested in Islamic scholarship, as it provides the opportunity to find books from different publishers under one roof. The Islamic Foundation expects the fair to become an important gathering place for intellectual discourse, with participation from readers, writers, publishers, and Islamic literature enthusiasts from different parts of the country.
According to the organizers, beyond just buying and selling books, this event will play a role in promoting Islamic knowledge and reading habits among the general public. At the same time, it will create opportunities to introduce the younger generation to the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, as well as the life and ideals of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Islamic Foundation also expressed hope that the book fair will play a positive role in spreading the message of Islam's peace, equality, humanity, and welfare to the people.
