Government appoints new secretaries to five departments

The government has appointed new secretaries to five departments and the Ministry of Public Administration issued five separate notifications in this regard, today (Thursday).

According to the notifications, Mohammad Saiful Islam has been appointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. Prior to this, he was the Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

Ziaul Haq has been appointed as Secretary to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division. He was previously serving as Additional Secretary in the same division.

Jesmin Nahar has been appointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. She was previously serving as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Md. Obaidur Rahman has become Secretary to the Housing and Public Works Division. He was previously Secretary (Attached) to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Additionally, Md. Sakhawat Hossain has become Secretary (Attached) to the Ministry of Public Administration. He was previously serving as Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

The notifications state that these orders, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
