Amar Ekushey book fair to begin on January 7

The Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2027 will begin on January 7 and continue until February 6. The Bangla Academy said the decision was made unanimously by publishers' representatives at a meeting held at Bangla Academy on Sunday.

Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam confirmed the information today, Sunday.

He said a views-exchange meeting with a good number of publishers' representatives on organizing the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2027 was held on Tuesday, October 13, in the Shaheed Muneer Chowdhury Conference Room of Bangla Academy.

The meeting was presided over by Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury. Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, Advisor to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and Ministry Secretary Yasmin Begum were present. The dates of the book fair were fixed unanimously at the meeting.
